After Gordon's dad gave him the old family space-jalopy, he spent every weekend of his Junior year of high school converting it into something he wouldn't be embarrassed to drive. Uncounted hours and every penny gleaned from his job as a soda jerk helped Gordon turn it into quite the racer.
