This is one of very few decks I made that worked really well right from the start. It needs some minor tuning (like replacing the Jane Q. Publics), but so far has played very well in both duels and multiplayer games.

The "exponential damage potential" bit is in reference to the fact that there are a number of effects in here that essentially double damage and can all be done on top of each other. For example, take a Gnarled Marauder- he is a 3 that can already do twice that (because of his special ability). Add on a Shotgun and you have the potential to do 12 damage. Unturn him with a Back For Seconds and you've got 24 (for 5 power...) The Who's the Big Man Now?!s also works quite well with his ability as well as the Back for Seconds.

Yes, I realize that The Hungry makes you a complete target, but I've found that if you sit tight and wait for the right time you can make a really hideous bid for the win (and with the combo potential here you generally don't have to sit long). In one game, I won by taking 4 sites in one turn- people just don't expect you to bust out that quickly from a seemingly helpless position. The game completely skipped the long middle bit where the players dance around to try to gain a lead- it went straight from the warmup to the endgame.

Most of the cards have a pretty obvious purpose. Many of the sites are there to protect your investment in your characters, and the rest are just all-around great sites. The bulk of the miscellaneous cards are there to beef up the characters. The characters themselves are just nice solid performers. The Destroyers and Kun Kans are particularly hard to kill, while the Gnarled Marauders generally do the bulk of the damage dealing. As mentioned above, the Janes don't really seem to belong here. I'll be looking for a good replacement here- maybe just more Marauders, maybe some better midrange Dragons.

I feel strongly that this deck has the potential to become a top-notch dueling deck, but it still needs a bit of tuning.
