Earthquake Aftermath

Back To Misc

An earthquake shook the Pacific Northwest region today (February 28, 2001). Current reports have it centered about 30 miles below the surface somewhere about 10 miles East-Northeast of Olympia and with a magnitude of 6.8 on the Richter scale. Here at work, we evacuated the building for about 5-10 minutes while it shook. My office is located on the third floor, and we got quite a shake.

No actual people in the immediate vicinity were hurt- but the ABS citizenry weren't quite so lucky...

Sorry about the horrible shot framing- I was using an unfamiliar camera and its viewfinder isn't even close to accurate.
