Back To Misc An earthquake shook the Pacific Northwest region today (February 28, 2001). Current reports have it centered about 30 miles below the surface somewhere about 10 miles East-Northeast of Olympia and with a magnitude of 6.8 on the Richter scale. Here at work, we evacuated the building for about 5-10 minutes while it shook. My office is located on the third floor, and we got quite a shake. No actual people in the immediate vicinity were hurt- but the ABS citizenry weren't quite so lucky... Sorry about the horrible shot framing- I was using an unfamiliar camera and its viewfinder isn't even close to accurate.
