The Command Module attaches to the Primary Engine Module, and the resulting configuration is commonly referred to as the Scout. The engines are oversized for this craft, making it extremely fast. Although it is primarily used for initial closeup surveys, it can be used in a pinch to evacuate a decent number of colonists if something goes horribly wrong. Note that the weapons have all been remounted on this ship. Prior to completion of the colony's power plant, the Primary Engine Module is the only power source capable of powering these weapons. |
