The forward fuselage extention can be removed as well, creating an even smaller ship. But with the loss of that extension goes the primary armament. The Intruder sports twin UniCarg MultiFusion thrusters that give it all the sublight power it could want. In raw acceleration power, it far outclasses the Invader. This particular model has been retrofitted with Seldar's magnetic vectoring units for these engines, making it quite maneuverable as well. Unfortunately, the FTL drive is rather inferior to the Invader's. While it has about the same velocity potential, it is far less reliable when operated at full warp for extended periods. |
