The Labratory Module is one of UCI's staple products. It's basic design has gone essentially unchanged for over 20 years, and over 14,000 such units have been produced in that time. It is estimated that approximately 85% of them are still in service at this time, though most are now used as stationary buildings. Note the dual docking arrangement on the ends of the module. It is equipped for both mechanical and magnetic coupling systems. The A-9 uses magnetic couplings. |
